I am mom of four and would-be writer and thinker. I shouldn't say 'would be,' I have a Master's degree from Stanford in Linguistics. But my current interests are of necessity a bit informal.
I am new to the blogosphere--sort of. I here give thanks to my inspirers, my relatives Kate, Stacey, and all the others related or not that have made their private selves public in this forum for web-crawling obsessiveness of us all.
I have four blogs and can't figure out how to make the profiles separate without different login information, so I should also mention my wonderful family, my husband Slade, the reason behind any success of our family, and my amazing kids Drake Archer Chase and Sadie, are the reason I did any of this in the first place. I wouldn't think I had anything worth making public without them.
Also, he is singing a solo as the concluding number in the Primary Program next week, AND some lady called to ask him to go audition for The King and I. Yikes.
If I have one regret about my guitar playing over the years, it would be that I wish I would have started practicing playing and singing at the same time much earlier on. My playing is fine now, but it's really hard to go back and add the singing in after the fact.
So, good to see Arch is starting off with both. Definitely the best way to go imho.
Jape, you should definitely not have any regrets about your guitar playing, but it is funny that I came to the same conclusion. It does little good to sing OR play guitar, you have to sing AND play guitar, and so I have tried to improve lately. I can struggle through some songs now altho I have to keep naipolish on my fingers.
I have heard you sing, too, and you have as good a chance as I do!
